A General Municipal Election in the City of Rolling Hills Estates will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 to elect two Members of the City Council and vote on a ballot measure. This election will be consolidated with the Statewide Direct Primary Election. BALLOT MEASURE INFORMATION
At its meeting of February 27, 2018, the Rolling Hills Estates City Council adopted Resolution No. 2415 placing the following measure before the voters at the City's general municipal election on Tuesday, June 5, 2018:
BUSINESS LICENSE TRANSPARENCY/TAX EQUITY MEASURE
Shall an ordinance to simplify the City of Rolling Hills Estates’ existing business license ordinance be adopted, eliminating outdated classifications and updating business license tax rates to either flat rate, or 0.05% - 0.4% of gross receipts (depending on business type) generating approximately $200,000 annually, dedicated to local, unrestricted general revenue purposes, including sheriff’s patrols; 911 response; park/street maintenance; requiring local control of all funds and annual independent audits, until ended by voters?
