The Parks and Activities (P&A)Commission serves in an advisory role to the City Council in matters pertinent to the City’s extensive system of parks, trails, and open spaces.  The Park and Activities Commission also helps organize the annual City Celebration, The Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run-5K Walk, the Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament, and serves as the Board of Directors for the Pepper Tree Foundation. 

Upon recommendation of the Mayor and appointment by the Council, seven residents of the City serve as volunteers on the Park and Activities Commission. In all cases, their actions are subject to review and final approval by the City Council.

There is currently one vacancy on the Park & Activities Commission (see notice below).   Interested residents are invited to submit an application for City Council consideration. Meeting Times: Regular meetings are held in the Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. the THIRD MONDAY of each month. For Park & Activities Commission Agendas,Minutes and Video, please click HERE.


Qualifications: Each of the Commissioners must be a resident of the City and is appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the City Council.  Members of the P&A Commission may not serve the City Council nor on another City Commission simultaneously. Commissioners may not be City of Rolling Hills Estates employees.


Compensation: No compensation is provided to City Commissioners
