A Message From Mayor Zerunyan
On behalf of my colleagues, staff and residents of our great city, welcome to the City of Rolling Hills Estates! We are honored that you have chosen our unique community as your new home. As longtime residents, Jody and I raised our own children here. I can tell you first-hand that we have a tremendous family friendly and safe community.
Our semi-rural city nestled on the north-east side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, with 8,028 residents, boasts over 175 acres of outdoor parks and more than 25 miles of bridle trails. Our Peter Weber Equestrian Center, Ernie Howlett Tennis Club, world class horse training facilities, little league, softball league and soccer league fields are second to none.
We encourage you to explore your new community – walk our trails, visit our schools, play in our newly furnished parks, check out our canyons and nature preserve center at George F. Canyon. I also urge you to shop and dine in our city. Our specialty restaurants and shops in our commercial district look forward to serving you. Don't forget to catch a movie or ice-skating at the Promenade Shopping Center or pickup your plants, hardware and a hamburger at the Peninsula Shopping Center. Finally, nothing beats the quiet comfort of our library in the middle of our commercial district.
We know you’ll find Rolling Hills Estates to be a warm and welcoming community. More importantly stay informed and stay engaged. We and our staff are here to serve you. Your quality of life is very important to me and my colleagues on the city council.
Frank V. Zerunyan, J.D.
