UPDATE City of Torrance -Crenshaw Rehabilitation Project
This is the weekly update of construction impacts for the Crenshaw Bl Rehabilitation (Sepulveda Bl to Skypark Dr and PCH to the south City limits). The project includes removal & replacement of damaged curbs, gutters and sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, pavement rehabilitation, traffic signal improvements and median landscaping south of PCH.
For Monday, April 24 through Saturday April 28 (weather permitting)
The Contractor will perform asphalt grinding and paving operations on Crenshaw Blvd from Rolling Hills Rd to Pacific Coast Highway also asphalt grinding and paving operations within side street intersections north of 238th Street. Additionally, the contractor will be performing median work from PCH to the south City limits.
GRINDING AND PAVING OPERATIONS
- Side street intersections including 238th Street (east side), 236th Street (west side), 232th Street (east side), 231th Street (east side), 230th Place (east side) 229th Place (east side) and 228th Street (east side) will be ground and paved on Mon 4/24. These streets will be closed at Crenshaw Blvd. for approximately 3 hours to perform the work.
- Northbound traffic on Crenshaw Blvd will be reduced to one lane on a 24-hour basis from Rolling Hills Road to Pacific Coast Highway for asphalt grinding and paving operations on Tues 4/25, Wed 4/26, Thur 4/27,& Fri 4/28
- South of PCH, one lane southbound adjacent to the median will be closed Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 3:30PM for median work.
Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes are recommended.
